I'm a social worker and counsellor based in Perth, working with adults across Australia, online. I came to this later than most — first a career in finance, then several years on mining projects in the Pilbara — which is part of why I'm easy to talk to for people who have never done this before. Most of my practice has been at the harder end: statutory child protection, community mental health, and adult social care. So I'm used to people arriving in the middle of something rather than at a tidy starting point, and I can usually explain how the services around you actually work.
